Sweet Treats. Shared Moments.
the most wholesome dessert shop in san diego
Our space reflects our values as two young parents who left our careers in the bustling startup world to focus on raising a family. We grew up in San Diego, in immigrant households that ran small businesses in hopes of achieving the American Dream. We wanted to continue that legacy and build a community where our family and friends can gather over a common love: dessert! To us, dessert is a rewarding way to connect generations– from the lolas who love a classic halo-halo, to the younger generation of boba lovers, and at Snoice, there’s a sweet treat for everybody!
For the past ten years, we’ve been fueled by passion, family, and a love for community. Through Snoice, we’ve connected with amazing people — from collaborations to community service to volunteering — all while giving back to the neighborhoods that shaped us. We’re proud to celebrate our Filipino-American roots, embrace San Diego’s diversity, and create a space where everyone feels welcome.
In this next chapter of our journey, we’re aiming to make our mark in San Diego — not just for our desserts, but for the warmth, memories, and sense of family that fill our shop every day. Our goal is simple: to become the most wholesome dessert shop in San Diego. We hope our desserts let people slow down and enjoy the small moments, create connections, and feel a sense of comfort.
Thank you so much for joining us on this journey, your support means the world to us!
Sincerely,
The name "SNOICE" started off as a joke after owners Jayrell and Dianne watched an episode of Key and Peele.
It stuck and the rest is history.
In 2015, Snoice began as a pop-up dessert bar in the corner of Kababayan Bakery, in Spring Valley, San Diego, CA. It quickly became popular enough that three months after opening, it became a permanent hole-in-the-wall shop next to the bakery.
Snoice's culture reflects the values of two young parents, who left their careers in New York City's startup world to focus on raising a family. Both lived in households that built small businesses in the restaurant and events industry. Coincidentally, the couple aspired to create a unique environment where their then three year-old son, Nathan, would have the opportunity to meet with friends and family, pay tribute to Filipino-American culture, and give back to the same neighborhood and community that his parents grew up in.
For the last ten years, Snoice has been serving desserts to Spring Valley, catering at your special events, and creating a tight-knit community. Our goal is simple: to become the most wholesome boba shop in San Diego. Whether it be Taiwanese-inspired shaved snow, Filipino classics like halo-halo, or boba tea, we have a treat for every one! We hope our desserts bring people together and create sweet memories.
The wooly mammoth was chosen because it is a "throwback" animal, well-adapted to the cold and an ancestor of the Asian Elephant from the Philippines. It symbolizes Snoice's unique Asian-American roots, refreshing atmosphere, and passion for bringing family together.
Desserts.
They’re usually served last, sometimes even skipped! Since it's all we serve and most come out of their way for it, we have to make it the best. We try to serve cold desserts that will keep San Diego cool, and that can be enjoyed anyone of any age, with any diet.
Community.
This was our best excuse to get our family and friends together. Our hearts are into lifting and empowering others however we can. We encourage openness and innovation by collaborating with anyone and everyone we can.
Culture.
Our roots are important to us. We want to unlock the history of our hometowns and our heritage. We fight to preserve our family's ways, but push for even better values for our children. We love learning about ourselves and how we relate to others.
